Legacy
TEDxPorto events are among the largest and most reputable TEDx events in Portugal, bringing together thought leaders, innovators, and creatives from various fields. In 2024, the themes of the events centred on “Legacies”, inviting speakers and attendees to reflect on what we leave behind — as individuals, organisations, and as a society. These editions aimed to explore relevant, forward-thinking topics through powerful talks and immersive event experiences for over 1500 attendees.
The organising teams invited us to lead the graphic designs and visual identities for these years’ editions, aiming to bring the themes to life through compelling visuals that would resonate both onsite and online.

The primary objective was to design a unified visual identity that could reinforce the “Legacy” theme in a modern and accessible way. The design system needed to work across multiple platforms — from print to digital to environmental design — while elevating the TEDxPorto experience for all participants. The goal was also to support audience engagement, promote the event on social channels, and contribute to the sense of prestige and professionalism associated with TEDxPorto.
The Objective
We were responsible for the end-to-end design of all visual elements for TEDxPorto 2024. This included the creation of a full graphic identity system: visual assets aligned with the “Legacy” theme. We designed promotional materials such as posters, social media templates, speaker cards, and countdown visuals.
For the physical event, we developed signage, stage screens, presentation templates, speaker badges, and directional graphics. Every touchpoint was considered by us to ensure consistency, clarity, and a memorable attendee experience. We used tools like Figma, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects to execute this multi-platform design system.
The Solution
Our design work played a key role in shaping how TEDxPorto 2024 was perceived by both the public and its participants. Engagement on social media increased significantly compared to previous years, aided by the cohesive and striking visuals we shared throughout the campaign.
The TEDxPorto team received overwhelmingly positive feedback from both attendees and speakers regarding the professionalism and visual consistency of the event. Internally, our design system was praised as one of the most coherent and impactful visual identities in the event’s history.
