Serena, a contemporary handbag brand, needed an e-commerce platform that could mirror its premium market positioning while remaining exceptionally simple for the internal team to manage daily. The brand was struggling with a fragmented digital presence and manual operational tasks that hindered growth.
Their core requirement was a seamless way to showcase high-end products, handle complex order flows, and maintain a rigorous visual identity across all touchpoints. The challenge was to build a digital experience that didn’t just look luxurious but also operated with a robust and scalable infrastructure to eliminate operational inefficiencies.
The Integrated Solution
To solve this, we designed and developed a bespoke e-commerce experience using Webflow, creating a fully customised CMS tailored specifically to Serena’s unique product architecture. This allowed the brand to manage collections and editorial content independently, without technical overhead.
To streamline the back-office, we engineered custom Zapier automations that connected the shopping flow with external management tools, enabling the automatic handling of orders, notifications, and data synchronisation. Simultaneously, we led the visual direction through a dedicated product and lifestyle photoshoot, ensuring a cohesive and elevated aesthetic optimised for both storytelling and high conversion.
The Narrative
This project is a testament to how automation and aesthetics can coexist to drive a luxury brand forward. By integrating the automated shopping flow directly into a highly curated visual interface, we turned a standard e-commerce site into a sophisticated brand world.
The use of a flexible CMS allows Serena to update their narrative as quickly as their inventory, while the “invisible” layer of automation handles the heavy lifting of order management. Every design element—from the intuitive navigation to the detailed product pages—was crafted to ensure that the technical robustness of the site never overshadowed the elegance of the brand’s visual language.
